On the heels of leading a new production of Aribert Riemann’s Lear at the Opéra de Paris, Fabio Luisi returns to the Zurich Opera to open another new staging: Bellini’s bel canto classic I Puritani, directed by Zurich Opera General Manager Andreas Homoki, with whom Fabio has been described as “almost a ‘dream team’” (Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen). Lawrence Brownlee and Pretty Yende star in the performances, which take place on June 19, 22, 25, and 29 and July 3, 7, and 10. Find tickets and more information here.
To close his fourth season as General Music Director of the opera house, Fabio takes the podium for five performances of Puccini’s Tosca, on June 24 and 28 as well as July 2, 6, and 9, in a revival of Robert Carsen’s production starring Catherine Naglestad. Find tickets and more information here.
